You Have the Talent. So Why Does Something Keep Getting in the Way?
The block isn't in your technique. It isn't in your mindset. It's in your body, and that's exactly where we go to find it.
For performers, speakers, and creatives who are done guessing why they can't fully show up and ready to find out what's actually in the way.
Already know you're ready?
Is This You?
You're talented. Trained. Committed. So why does this keep happening?
You've put in the hours, hired the coaches, done the work, and you're still hitting the same invisible wall
In rehearsal you're free. On the day that matters, something shuts down
Your voice changes, your body tightens, your mind goes somewhere else entirely…right when you need to be most present
Teachers and directors tell you the ability is there. You know it too. So what is this?
You've tried mindset work, breathing techniques, more rehearsal, and nothing quite reaches it
Part of you wonders if there's something deeper going on. Something you haven't been able to name yet.
There is. And it almost never has anything to do with your voice.
Most performance blocks aren't performance problems.
They're stored experiences. Grief, shame, fear, perfectionism, old wounds around being seen or heard, living in your nervous system and showing up in your body every time the stakes get high.
Talk therapy can help you understand them. Technique training can work around them. But neither one reaches into the body and actually moves them.
That's what this work does.
Using certified Flow Method® and Body Decode® practices alongside somatic voice work and 22 years of deep experience with the human voice, I work with you to find the root of what's blocking you and gently, thoroughly release it.
Most of my clients come in thinking we'll work on their voice. What we actually end up working on surprises them. And that's exactly why it works.
This is for singers, speakers, actors, musicians, performers of any kind, and anyone whose inner world is getting in the way of their outer expression.

"What's Really Behind Your Performance Block?"
This free 3-minute quiz will help you identify the specific pattern that keeps showing up: whether that's nervous system freeze, an expression wound, a perfectionism pattern, or something rooted in unprocessed experience.
You'll get a personalized result with clarity on what you're working with and what to do about it.
No generic advice. Just a real starting point.
I'm Jessica Schable. Somatic voice healing practitioner, certified Flow Method® Practitioner, certified Body Decode® Practitioner, and founder of the Mind-Body Voice Collective™.
For over 22 years I've worked intimately with the human voice: as a performer, a degree-holding voice educator, a curriculum developer, and a nonprofit performing arts founder. I've sat with hundreds of students and clients and watched the same pattern emerge again and again: the thing blocking the voice is almost never about the voice.
That realization changed everything about how I work.
I've spent years training in the somatic and body-based methods that actually reach what talk therapy and technique training can't. And I've woven that together with everything I know about the performing voice: how it works, how it shuts down, and what it needs to open back up.
I've walked this path myself too. My own experience with my voice (what silenced it and what finally set it free) is the reason I do this work. It's also why I understand, from the inside, what you're carrying.

Why Work With Me?
But don’t just take my word for it.
Here’s what clients have to say about their experience working with me:
-
I work in a fast paced environment where changes happen frequently and need to be implemented quickly. I found myself feeling inadequate to manage that change or work with difficult people. Working with Jessica helped me to feel more comfortable in my surroundings. I don’t need to prove anything to anyone. I can easily work through situations without that sneaky imposter syndrome being a factor. I am not a singer or a performer, and still, working with Jessica and implementing my personalized Flow Method has improved my confidence and self worth tremendously!

Working with Jessica is a privilege and a joy. She is, bar none, the most talented musician I have ever worked with. She is professional yet compassionate, kind but still firm, and forces you to imagine a world that isn’t so frightening after all. Never pushing or prodding, but supporting you to be better. I am enamored by her ability to remain passionate about her work and her insistence on continuing to create new projects and opportunities for musicians of all ages and skill levels in the area.
Since beginning to work with Jessica, she has met me with patience and understanding. In my opinion, one of the most important things needed to create a healthy relationship with an artform is feeling safe. No matter your skillset, experience, or intentions with the artform; Jessica will meet you with that same patience and understanding
